DS Star/Levante 07B just got busted playing an illegal player at the Texas Lightning Showcase.
DS Stars/Levante 2007 Boys is playing in the Texas Lightning Showcase, but we are hearing that it may not be for long. Their Coach Bassam Jarjoura is facing some heat for this latest cheating scandal. We've now confirmed that one of Levante's players received a red card for a foul during their match on Friday 4/2. This would have made the player ineligible to play the next scheduled game on Saturday 4/3.
We are told that tournament officials were alerted when the ineligible player was indeed spotted playing the 4/3 matchup, which is obviously not allowed according to the tournament rules. Officials called the game after they confirmed the ineligibility and awarded their opponents a forfeit win.
